Mijas and Fuengirola: apartment-scale new-builds
New developments in Mijas, particularly around La Cala and Mijas Golf, and in Fuengirola tend to be apartment-scale, with compact but well-lit kitchen spaces. New kitchens here are usually straightforward once plumbing points are confirmed — integrated appliances and smart storage make the most of the footprint.
Marbella and Benalmadena: bigger scope, more variation
Marbella's Golden Mile new-builds are often shell-and-core villas with far more design freedom — large islands, book-matched stone, full appliance integration. Benalmadena spans three distinct areas (Costa, Pueblo, Arroyo de la Miel), so new-build scope varies more depending on where in the municipality the property sits.
Estepona's New Golden Mile
Estepona's newer developments toward the port give more room to work with than the older town centre, and new kitchens here tend to have more scope for larger cabinetry runs and islands, similar to what we see in Marbella's newer builds.
